It was a neighborhood in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where days seemed to last forever, bikes were transportation, and the streetlights told you when it was time to go home.

There were no cell phones in our pockets. If you wanted to find your friends, you went looking for them.

And somehow, you always did.

This was the world of John, Vinny, Dax, Maria, Ricky, Beth, Erica, Gina, and their friends, growing up in South Jersey in the 1980s. They get into trouble. They embarrass themselves. They argue. They laugh. They make bad decisions. And when it really matters, they show up for each other.

The stories are about childhood before cell phones, but they are really about something that never changed.
