A writer and full-time caregiver whose life experiences have deeply shaped his storytelling, especially his perspective on family, humor, and the small but powerful moments that define growing up. His Pebble Lane Kids series draws from his own childhood in a tight knit South Jersey neighborhood, where bikes meant freedom, friendships were fierce, and trouble was often just a game gone too far.

Blending laugh out loud comedy with heartfelt reflection, Joe’s stories capture that blurry stretch between being a kid and becoming something else entirely. A time when scraped knees healed fast, but the lessons stuck for life.

For more than two decades, Joe has provided full-time care for his mother, grandmother, and other elderly relatives. That long-term role filled with sacrifice, love, frustration, and grace has profoundly influenced both his outlook and his writing. His caregiving journey continues today, and it fuels his belief in the strength of ordinary moments and the legacy of multigenerational bonds.

Before turning to writing, Joe earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School, after completing a B.A. in Economics and Finance at Rutgers University. He was inducted into several national honor societies, including Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society in Economics.

Joe grew up playing Little League, Babe Ruth, and high school baseball, and competed in high school wrestling and gymnastics. Today, he still plays adult baseball, proudly taking the mound as a pitcher because some things from childhood never really go away.
